Corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Actona Company Actona Company A/S is committed to be a socially responsible company, which among other things includes respect for the environment, human and labour rights and we expect the same attitude from our suppliers. To meet the demands of acting socially and environmentally responsible, Actona Company has become a member of Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), as a member we are requested to accept and disseminate the BSCI code of conduct both internally and in our supply chain. The BSCI code of conduct is built on internationally recognised labour standards protecting workers rights in particular the (ILO) Core Labour Conventions. Some of the key points in the code are, Prohibition of child labour, Prohibition of forced labour, Respect of environmental issues and Health and safety on the work place. The practical implementation of the Code is controlled by independent auditing companies. The BSCI process is an ongoing process where we step-wise improve compliance with the BSCI code of conduct at the supplier.
